Snapshot: Drink Better Beer
When Joshua M. Bernstein comes out with a book it instantly gets added to my to-read pile. I really have never been much of a reader but once I started reading beer books I just couldn’t get enough. The first beer book that I ever read was Josh’s The Complete Beer Course and I instantly became a fan of his writing. So when I found out that he would be in Pittsburgh on November 21, 2019 to host a talk at Cinderlands Beer Co. Warehouse location, I immediately bought my ticket. Josh and Paul Schneider (Cinderlands’ head brewer) talked about the current state of the craft beer industry and handed out samples of four beers that were fermented using kveik yeast. After a great talk and tasting I headed down to the bar to grab a bite to eat. I tried to narrow down which beer I was going to enjoy with dinner and ended up going with a lovely grisette (Grizzled Canary). Once I finished up at the bar I spent the rest of the night hanging out and talking to the hosts and a few others that stuck around. It was a great night that was filled with delicious beer and good conversations. Below is a series of photos that I feel captured the night. Cheers!
